Wealth Mentality - Think Rich and Grow Rich with Some Basic Success Pinciples


In another article I wrote, entitled Become Successful by Thinking Differently, I talked about the story that the Barbarians would tell and how in the story Odin changed into someone else just by thinking differently. I suggested that you also start thinking differently about things. Have you done it? If not why? A bit harder than it seems, huh? "The Barbarians Guide to Success" can help, but I thought I would give you some more advice on that right now.

First you must realize that you already have what you want. Do you want to be wealthy? Well what if I told you you were in the top 8% of the wealthiest people on earth. What if I told you that by getting this email you are proving to be distinguished from 99% of the worlds population. By reading this email, you have a leg up on over two billion people in the world already. Some of you already know what I am talking about, but those of you who don't, are you scratching your head yet? How 'bout these stats?

* If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

* If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pains of starvation ...you are ahead of

500 million people in the world.

* If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death...you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

* If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep...you are richer than 70% of this world.

* If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

* If you have a computer, you are among only 1% of the worlds population that does.

So, as you read this you are among the 8% wealthiest people in the world. Puts a bit of a spin on what you thought before huh?

Oh and what about reading this article, well if you can do that you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all. That's right. You have the ability to read. At least some spare change, some food in the frig, or some in the cabinet.

You, my friend, are rich!

Now, admittedly, this takes into account non-industrialized nations, and that makes these stats a bit deceiving, but what that means is that you live in a great nation, that is full of wealth. You just need to grab it.

Now remember, you are already rich, you just need to get richer.

I know this is much lighter than many of my articles, but everyone needs to lighten up and just feel good once in a while.

The fact is that silly little things like this do help make you feel better, but you need to get down and dirty and in the trenches to really make a success of yourself. It doesn't hurt to have some help from someone who has been there. A good coach can be invaluable, and I highly recommend finding one. I also recommend finding good books that, not only give good advice about success, but also addresses the mentality of success. If you ask the most successful people in the world they will tell you any kind of success is 99% mental.

That's why in my book "The Barbarians Guide to Success" I address the mental aspects of what I did to increase my income by 833% and fall deeply in love and get married to the woman of my dreams all in 2.5 years Make sure that anybody you work with understands how to help you change the way you think at a core level, otherwise all the work will be for naught.

With that I will say:

Get the Barbarian Mind Set and keep it. Stay trú to yourself and your family, the rest will take care of itself.

Health, Wealth And The Pursuit Of The Whole Person


How Important Is Health In The Quality Of Life?

Wealth in itself has no meaning without the ability to enjoy it. Health is, without a doubt, one of the most important attributes of a well rounded person. It does no good to have wealth without health. How could one derive pleasure from a body that is incapable of experiencing it. Health is spoke number four in the wheel of life.

But Wait, why are so many Americans out of shape?

If health is so important, why then do so many Americans continue to be out of shape. Heart disease, diabetics, cancer are at a all time high yet with ample warning, Americans fail to take heed of conditions. They continue to over eat, shirk exercise and belly up to the fast food take out window. Their relationships are dwindling as self esteem continues to plummet. They use food as a scapegoat to comfort the soul but find it's all in vain.

Diet programs are at a all time high as they tout they are the answer to health and enjoyment. But health is a state of mind, reflecting inner disturbances and people, well people tend to follow their inner state of confusion. They need comfort, escape from everyday pressures, so they indulge.

I can't answer the question

I can't add any more than you have already heard a thousand times over. You need to be fit in order to enjoy life as it was meant to be. But alas, you will follow your own desires and your health will be impaired. That's not to say a few will take health serious and will take care of themselves. Some of you will experience a heart attack and, if you survive, will take notice of your condition.

Inner emotions drive outward actions

If a person is subject to inner cravings, how then can they break away from their own mind-set and maintain an acceptable level of fitness. How indeed, if I could answer that question I could make millions. But perhaps all is not lost. People develop habits out of necessity. Many detrimental actions take the place of something. Dissatisfaction, boredom, confusion all factors of the mind. There is no physical condition that drives a person to harm him/herself. If a condition does exist, it is very rare but for the most part overindulgence or an harmful inaction stems from the mind. Relationship in trouble, have a hamburger. Sound ridiculous? It is, but people tend to do the ridiculous.

How can you get Fit?

Actually being fit is not difficult. If it's a person's state of mind that causes resistance to the basics of good health then we need to change our thinking. Let's face it, good health, like everything else, requires you to do something. For those who have already fallen into their own self made trap, they must first ask the question, "Why Should I Change?" Set down and be honest with yourself. Take a piece of paper, draw a line down the middle, up and down and side to side. Write a heading at the top of each block. One is what you are doing now the second is what you would like be doing. What are your eating habits, your exercise habits, your relationships, your job advancements? The next is what would you like them to be?

The third is what you need to do and why you should change. The last is you commitment to your betterment. Sound easy? It is, but the commitment means you must engage yourself with your findings, and that, my friend is near impossible. Old habits came about over time and it takes time to develop new ones. Most people don't have the patience or willpower for change. They need support from loved ones and others who influence them. They don't need a crutch, but they need a new foundation for being.

A Good Life means compromise

If health effects life's quality and it is no more than "interpretation of personal experience" then people should make that interpretation as enjoyable as possible. Life Quality involves satisfying not pacifying self where self is the center of your being. The deterrent is when an individual reaches a satisfied state, he/she will adapt to prevailing conditions. This satisfied state may be reached outside of good health. A person may become satisfied by over or under indulgence.

Wealth requires fine tuning

Wealth in itself is a condition and not a prerequisite for happiness. While wealth may be a contributing factor for elevated life quality it is not a required element for inner satisfaction. Satisfaction of one's inner self comes from a realization of acceptable accomplishments and balance of spirit. When a person resolves that he/she does not fill the requirements for satisfaction, then he/she will become dissatisfied with life's quality.

Quality of life is accomplished when attentive attention, goal setting, and purposeful action are organized into active position. Happiness, well being, since of accomplishment, good health, purposeful acts, are all part of quality of life. Quality of life is a positive experience of involvement where engagement is welcomed.

Fulfill Your Dreams

Whether your dream is to be or not to be is largely dependent upon your actions! The cure for the ills of procrastination is a heavy prescription of action, until the day arrives when your dreams and their achievement are one in the same. Until you cannot tell them apart! And when that day arrives, dream bigger dreams and take more action.

A good plan will almost always get you in the door, but it is action that seals the deal. So you want a guarantee? Well here it is: Without purposeful action, the only guarantee is failure and mediocrity! Belief without works is dead. Stop being a putts and get busy.

Don't tiptoe toward your goal, walk confidently...before it waltz's off into the arms of neglect.

Thriving During Tough Times Tip #15 - Focus, Balance and Blend For Total Health, Wealth and Success


"It's not enough to make time for your children. There are certain stages in their lives when you have to give them the time when they want it. You can't run your family like a company. It doesn't work."

When tough times hit, things can get messy pretty quickly and the stress of the tough times will knock you off your course.  There are two big problems that must be dealt with at this time:


Your course in life can no longer be the course that comes from going with the flow of things (the flow of things is not good and will lead you down a bad path.
The stress of the changes you face will amplify the possibilities of making bad or poor decisions that will negatively impact your health, wealth, and success.
You need a new and better strategy and approach for living fully and experiencing complete health, wealth, and success during tough times.  This quick three-step process for responding, not reacting, to tough times will make a world of difference.

Step 1:  Accept your tough times for what they are and focus on addressing the core pain of your situation as soon as possible.  This is especially critical when there are tough times on a macro basis.  When there are universal tough times, you can not simply use avoidance strategies to find new pleasure somewhere else.  This will dramatically decrease your odds of surviving and thriving the universal tough times.  Build up your courage and reserves so that you can FOCUS on developing and working a 30 to 90-day plan to address and overcome your real pain!

Step 2:  In getting aggressive and focused on the critical pain that must be addressed, you run the risk on ignoring the other components of a complete healthy, wealthy, and successful life (i.e. physical health and relationship wealth/success).  Therefore, at this point, you need to counter BALANCE your plans with goals for maintaining and improving your health and wellness.  Otherwise, you will find the stress of FOCUSing on your pain will lead you to significant challenges or disaster in your physical health (i.e. heart attack or some other serious illness) and relationships (i.e. nasty arguments, divorce, and estranged relationships with family and friends).  Thus, you should set counter BALANCING goals for your health and relationships as your FOCUS on removing the constraints around your pain.

Step 3:  Finally, you must discard the thinking associated with creating a BALANCED life on a daily basis.  This flawed thinking will not lead to success and it will likely create more stress and tension for you and others in your life.  Balance can be achieved on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis when you look to deliberately BLEND daily activities in the pursuit of 30 to 90 day FOCUSED goals.  However, in order to create and make the most of these opportunities, you must look beyond just your daily plan and use weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly meetings and planning sessions to make it happen.

Focusing, balancing, and blending will help you thrive at all times and you should adopt this three step process as a life strategy and approach from this day forward..  However, this three step process is both urgent and critical to your complete health, wealth, and success during these toughest of times.  Use all three steps and watch how quickly you overcome your biggest challenges and you build lasting health, wealth, and success in the process.

Best Independence Day in Wealth, Health and Relationships Available to You by Playing to Win in 2010


Independence Day has been celebrated since 4 July 1776 when the United States formerly declared itself independent from the Kingdom of Great Britain. The more common name for this American federal holiday is known as the Fourth of July.

Twelve Months Celebration

Since some of you will take time out to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends, I'd like to propose that all of us take time to reflect on what has occurred during the previous twelve months and what each of us would like to have happen over the coming twelve months.

Looking forward to private success is an exciting sentiment, I know this from personal experience therefore for that reason every day I take the time and put in the effort to have the best chance to make my dreams come true.

Declaration of Independence Is A Model Worth Pursuing

Independence Day can be a rather special occurrence for those of you who want to make a huge difference in your life. Take for example the following quote from the Declaration of Independence:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Goals Can Be Varied Yet Focused

Over the years I've encouraged all my coaching clients to choose their own 'Independence Day' and work towards it diligently, consistently and seriously. Goals can be varied yet focused. Usually the general intention tends to be a mix of health, wealth and relationship goals. Whatever your personal independence day goals may be the following exercise will help you to define, refine and begin your journey to celebrating your own 'Independence Day'.

Reflect on your personal lifestyle, business career and health and relationships up until today.
Write your thoughts down in a journal under the heading 'Independence Day'
Now write down twelve different outcomes you'd like to achieve over the coming year.
Next in your journal plot the way to achieving your desired outcome by creating an Independence Day pathway. Divide the next twelve months into four blocks of 90 days each, a total of 360 days. Write down the months and days for each block. Add on the remaining five days to your final block. You now have a whole year to work with.
Within your Independence Day pathway write in your desired twelve different outcomes in the appropriate start and completed week or month with its date.
By writing down your desires in this way you are prescribing your daily actions that will give you your desired outcomes and building a focused pathway to allow you to take daily action and remain motivated to put in the effort required to achieve your goals.

This exercise will get you started and clear on what you really want in your life and how you can change it. You'll also find that your desired outcomes will change as you progress day by day, week by week, month by month due to the nature of your current situation, the actions you apply, the amount of effort you allocate and the pace you set yourself to accelerate change in your lifestyle. Your future Independence Day will be reflected in your behaviour and the model you adopt to entirely change your lifestyle from what you have now, to what you truly desire.
